The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office will be hosting a free public webinar on the Leahy-Smith America Invents Act on October 31, 2011 at 1:00 pm (EDT). The panel for the webinar will include David Kappos, USPTO Director; Teresa Stanek Rea, USPTO Deputy Director; Robert L. Stoll, Commissioner for Patents; Bernard Knight, USPTO General Counsel; and James D. Smith, BPAI Chief Administrative Patent Judge, who will outline the agency's implementation plans and answer a selection of questions submitted during the session. Questions should be submitted in advance to aia_townhallquestions@uspto.gov. The webinar can be accessed here. Participants should enter their name and e-mail address, if prompted.
